Pellote Leonora, brokaat, blauw Size:XS/S 5 mm dik staal gemaaktThis pellote is a sleeveless overcoat and an Iberian regional variation on the better known French surcotte. Unlike the French and English surcotte, with its dramatic, wide cut 'gates of hell' armholes, the pellote is only openwork up to the hip and further along the entire skirt closed. This type of overgarment is known, among other things, from preserved burial clothes of the Spanish nobility from the thirteenth century. The pattern woven brocade
