Kennebec River fly fishing Landlocked SalmonThe Kennebec River is the only river in Maine that holds brook trout, brown trout, rainbow trout and landlocked salmon. There have been many days that all four have been caught in the same day while drifting it's various sections. My largest brown and rainbow trout on a fly have come from the Kennebec. It is full of deep runs, pools, and riffles with fish hiding behind nearly every rock! Average size of any species is 12 to 16 inches with many over 18
